Droste's first editions
The collections in the Prince's Little House include first editions of her works, as well as period editions of other famous authors, such as Goethe. These are accompanied by the magazines in which Droste-Hülshoff's works were first published, such as "Morgenblatt für gebildete Stände" (Morning Paper for the Well-Educated). This famous paper, published by the Cotta Verlag in Stuttgart, is where "The Jew's Beech" appeared as a serial in 1842.
